Patty was my pick from the Tootsie x Strider litter. While Patty had promising conformation, Jane and I had a joke that she couldn't get to my, (Iola's), house soon enough as her boldness got her into trouble and Jane didn't want to break her. Jane was the wise one. After only a week at my house those concerns proved valid as 9-week-old Patty partially paralyzed her left rear leg while attempting to climb out of an exercise pen. The following 6 months were an intense bonding experience as she wasn't allowed to walk except to go to the bathroom. We attended swim therapy 3 times a week where she gradually regained control of her rear leg and built the muscle to support it. My original goal was for her to be able to have a normal, pain-free life.
Thanks to Sheila Wells of Wellsprings-K9, we have accomplished so much more!

While I am extremely proud of Patty's accomplishments in the show ring, her social skills have made her a favorite family member.
Patty earned her ISWS major at 9 months old and finished her championship 2 months later. Since then we have competed sparingly. We entered UKC Premier on Friday as a warmup for SilkenFest 2013 on Saturday and had our socks blown off. Patty was awarded the breed out of a huge Champion class and went on to be rewarded a Group 1! That single win had her on the UKC Top 10 list for 2013. Patty achieved her UKC GRCH in June of 2014.
Patty followed up her Premier win, with Best of Opposite Sex awards at NWFest and BooFest 2013.
Patty takes Halloween very seriously... going as a "Princess" this year, and a "Social Butterfly" last year. She'll do anything for a smile!
Patty loves to travel, explore, have fun, and share her thoughts with everyone.
Patty also enjoys time with her friend, Tatum, who has been showing her at UKC shows. Patty also visited Tatum's school...
