Iola braved the heat to head down to Oregon for the annual ISWS Specialty Show NWFest.
Despite the heat, Winsome (and its extended family) did well in the show ring and on the field.
Mipha: Reserve Winner’s Bitch in Show 2 under Judge Rosemary W. Leist
Mac: Best Opposite Sex in Specialty in Show 2 under Judge Rosemary W. Leist
Kenan: Reserve Winner’s Dog in Show 2 under Judge Stan Matsumoto
ASFA: Took Best of Breed over 25 other Silkens!
Olive: 1st in her 12-18 Month bitches class in Show 1
Katherine: 1st in her Open bitches class
Aquila (from our Canadian Branch): came down and not only certed for ASFA on Sunday, bit tied for 1st in Open dogs with Kenan! Quila graciously accepted second (in a field of 17 dogs) so that she was fresh for LGRA the next day. She ended as 4th in Monday’s LGRA in a field of 20+ dogs and earned 2 more points toward her LGRA title.
Maia and Dante: Friends from Canada who came down to attend and we are so happy they came. Maia helped Winsome out before and during the show, making Iola’s trip a little easier. Dante took 1st in his Novice Dog class in Show 2, ran singles in ASFA, and placed 10th in the large field of dogs in LGRA.
